"Information and communication technologies have the potential to provide new solutions to development problems, particularly in the context of globalization, and can promote economic growth, competitiveness, access to information and knowledge, poverty eradication, and social inclusion." — General Assembly Resolution
On October 24, 2019, World Development Information Day is celebrated, "which aims to provide broad, timely, and relevant information on all issues related to development, as well as greater access to technology and new communication channels that have emerged, contributing to advancing efforts to improve people's lives, especially in resource-poor regions," according to the UN.
At Sofis Solutions, we are currently working on multiple projects aimed at generating and providing this information, among which the following stand out:

The United Nations General Assembly recognized that information and communication technologies have the potential to provide new solutions to development problems. From Sofis Solutions, through its Innovation Laboratory, we seek innovative solutions to societal and organizational challenges, particularly in the areas of the Internet of Things, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Social Innovation.
"This World Day precisely aims to raise awareness and mobilize public opinion, especially youth, to better understand the general problems of development and to become aware of how new information and communication technologies can contribute to making it sustainable."
Our mission "to improve people's quality of life through the digital transformation of organizations and technological inclusion" aligns with and contributes to these objectives, as does our commitment to development goals.
