Sofis Solutions was born in 2005, in the city of Montevideo - Uruguay.
Since its inception, the main driver was and remains quality. This applies to processes, products, and relationships with the environment.The internationalization of the company It was one of the founding objectives. In the first stage, it expanded from Uruguay, and in the second stage, it opened offices in Latin American countries. Currently, it has offices in Montevideo, Panama, El Salvador and Ecuador.

XI Forum of Governmental Accountancies of Latin America (FOCAL)
Between October 14 and 16, 2025, the XI Forum of Governmental Accountancies of Latin America (FOCAL) was held in Santiago, Chile — a leading regional event that brought together representatives from 18 countries with the aim of strengthening transparency, accountability, and public financial management in the region.
Organized by the Network of Governmental Accountancies of Latin America, the forum promotes the exchange of knowledge, regulatory harmonization, and the adoption of technological innovations applied to public accounting, in line with international standards of financial management and control.
Main Themes of the XI FOCAL Forum
With a focus on strengthening and modernizing public financial management in Latin America, FOCAL 2025 brought together representatives from different countries to exchange experiences and best practices in transparency, accountability, and governmental accounting management.
The sessions included presentations and panels on technological innovation, fiscal sustainability, governance, and the role of financial information as a foundation for decision-making in the public sector.
Participation of Sofis Solutions: AI Applied to Data Analysis
Santiago Atella, Director of Sofis Solutions and Head of the Intelligent Solutions Division, participated as a panelist in one of the forum’s technical sessions, where he presented on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Data Analysis for Public Management.”
In his presentation, he highlighted the role of artificial intelligence as a driver of efficiency, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making. He also analyzed the challenges associated with its implementation, such as the need for reliable data, technical capabilities, and ethical frameworks to guide its responsible use.
