History
Sofis Solutions was born in 2005, in the city of Montevideo - Uruguay.
Since its inception, the main driver was and remains quality. This applies to processes, products, and relationships with the environment.The internationalization of the company It was one of the founding objectives. In the first stage, it expanded from Uruguay, and in the second stage, it opened offices in Latin American countries. Currently, it has offices in Montevideo, Panama, El Salvador and Ecuador.

The #GreenSofis initiative was recognized as one of the innovative technology projects at IncoDay Panama.

#GreenSofis is an initiative by Sofis Solutions that promotes sustainability in products and processes. Recently, this initiative was recognized as one of the innovative technology projects at IncoDay in Panama.
After participating in a process alongside more than 100 ideas from different companies, the #GreenSofis initiative by Sofis Solutions was selected among the top 16 to present at the event on October 20 through a pitch.
At that event, the proposals were evaluated by a specialized jury and the audience, which included over 800 participants. #GreenSofis obtained third place in the final ranking, being evaluated as innovative for software development.
The initiative began in 2022 and currently has several projects and activities underway, one of which resulted in the #GreenSofis methodology, which extends the software development lifecycle to incorporate ESG dimensions (considering social, environmental, and corporate governance factors) in each phase.
The methodology incorporates principles applied throughout the lifecycle, with specific activities for each phase, a product quality model that includes ESG aspects, and tools that support the process.
IncoDay was organized by ALETI, the Federation of Information Technology Entities of Latin America and the Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal, together with the Brazilian platform Brafip and Escala Latam, a platform that promotes innovation and sustainable growth in Latin America.
