Sustainability plays a key role, as incorporating sustainability aspects as a software quality attribute requires a model that considers this dimension throughout its lifecycle.
Quality standards are essential to deliver products and services that meet the expectations and needs of customers. Quality software must fulfill user requirements and include characteristics such as efficiency, security, and scalability throughout the software lifecycle to achieve its intended purpose.
Sustainability plays a key role, as incorporating sustainability aspects as a software quality attribute requires a model that considers this dimension throughout its lifecycle. In this regard, Sofis Solutions designed and integrated into its operational management the #GreenSofis methodology, which defines, applies, and evaluates practices related to sustainable aspects (environmental, social, and governance) both in project management and in the product itself.
The #GreenSofis methodology is based on the ISO 25000 Software Quality standard, also known as SQuaRE (System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation), which consists of a set of standards covering the following divisions: Quality Model, Quality Measurement, Quality Requirements, and Quality Evaluation.
Additionally, #GreenSofis incorporates the sustainability dimension, which considers the following elements:

Its impact is reflected not only in contributing to the improvement of people’s quality of life but also in reducing the carbon footprint, promoting inclusion, web accessibility, gender perspective in software development, and corporate governance practices toward stakeholders.
