Sofis Solutions Obtains ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification

Montevideo, January 5, 2022.

Sofis Solutions reaffirms its commitment to quality management as part of its strategic objectives, aiming to continue providing innovative technological solutions and services that meet customer requirements and comply with applicable legal regulations. In pursuit of excellence, the company has obtained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, granted by the Uruguayan Institute of Technical Standards (UNIT).

The company has focused on strengthening its organizational culture oriented towards continuous improvement, using tools that provide overall performance centered on process efficiency to achieve positive results, aiming to raise its quality standards in software and service delivery. In this regard, Sofis Solutions carried out in 2021 the "Quality Management System 2021 (QMS-21) – Path to Total Quality" project, with a vision to become a benchmark in the IT sector by delivering excellence in its services and, above all, by the efficiency of its processes.

This initiative aligns with the company’s strategic objectives, which aim for continuous improvement across all areas of work. As part of these objectives, the company closed 2021 by obtaining ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, granted by UNIT. This certification reflects the company’s commitment to providing a framework focused on total quality, reinforcing its existing quality model, all aimed at delivering a better service experience to clients and stakeholders.

"Sofis Solutions recognizes the importance of management systems in company performance and in delivering value to its stakeholders. Its comprehensive approach is a fundamental aspect of achieving this goal. The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification complements our ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System certification, additionally providing transparency to the company’s activities," stated Ing. Gustavo Cirigliano, Director of Sofis Solutions.

Sofis Solutions’ senior management actively supports and leads the implementation of the Quality Management System, reaffirming its commitment to enhance its effectiveness, promoting continuous improvement in processes, ensuring the necessary resources to maintain a risk- and opportunity-based approach, and generating a tangible impact on efficiency, costs, and organizational results.

The certification audit and issuance were conducted by the Uruguayan Institute of Technical Standards (UNIT), a private non-profit organization promoting quality development through standardization, certification, and training. UNIT has developed over 2,500 standards and offers a Documentation Center where the public can access international, regional, and foreign standards.

Moreover, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published more than 22,000 International Standards and documents providing recognized guidelines and frameworks based on international collaboration, aimed at contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

In this context, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System contributes to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, including:

  • SDG 1: No Poverty.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
