More than 600 Obligated Subjects were trained in the use of the Honduras Accountability Platform (RCH).

Montevideo, November 9, 2021.

More than 600 people, including Obligated Subjects (pre-candidates, independent candidates, internal movements, political parties, and alliances between parties) and Financial Officers of the aforementioned, participated in the training sessions on the use of the Rendición de Cuentas Honduras (RCH) platform. They were introduced to the platform, the requirements for access, and the basic operation of the Obligated Subjects (S.O) Module.

As part of the "Consultancy for the design, development, and implementation of a technological platform for accountability by the Unit for Financing, Transparency and Oversight of Political Parties and Candidates (UFTF)", training sessions were conducted for users of the Rendición de Cuentas Honduras (RCH) oversight platform. The initial sessions were aimed at officials from the Unit for Financing, Transparency and Oversight of Political Parties and Candidates (UFTF), also known as the Clean Politics Unit, as well as the Plenary of Commissioners. The final training sessions were delivered to the Obligated Subjects and their respective Financial Officers.

The training sessions took place on October 21, 26, 28, and November 3, and were conducted by Sofis Solutions, the company responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the technological platform. The objective of these sessions was to provide Obligated Subjects and their Financial Officers with the necessary knowledge to use the Public Module or Obligated Subjects (S.O) Module of the platform, enabling them to: obtain their access credentials, register their financial officer and bank accounts, submit income and expense declarations for the electoral campaign, and generate the forms required by law.

The Rendición de Cuentas Honduras (RCH) technological platform was presented to the country on October 22 by the Unit for Financing, Transparency and Oversight of Political Parties and Candidates (UFTF). During the event, it was emphasized that this technological solution represents progress in transparency and accountability within the electoral system in Honduras, as it optimizes the process of submitting financial reports by candidates and political parties, enabling effective oversight of the origin of the funds used by political organizations.

To access the Rendición de Cuentas Honduras (RCH) platform, Obligated Subjects must first request their credentials (username and password) from the UFTF. This process can be carried out in two ways: the first is online, where the Obligated Subject must have previously registered their email address with the National Electoral Council (CNE) or with the UFTF; the second is in person, by going to the UFTF offices.

At the close of the final session, Attorney Alva Rivera, Coordinating Commissioner of the UFTF, thanked the attendees for participating in the training and for their interest. She also expressed her hope that the sessions were highly beneficial in helping them carry out their responsibilities. Additionally, she thanked the Sofis Solutions team, and especially Engineer Sergio Pío, Technical Coordinator for the development of the RCH Platform, who supported the training sessions delivered to the users of the technological platform.
