#GreenSofis: recognized as "Advanced Compliance" by DERES

#GreenSofis was recognized as a practice driving sustainability in Uruguay.

Sofis Solutions was recognized for its practice “#GreenSofis” in the “Advanced Compliance” category, for demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and a more responsible future. This award was given at the 13th edition of the DERES Recognitions. This prize is the result of the company's ongoing efforts to implement sustainable practices that contribute to environmental, social, and good governance factors. 

The #GreenSofis practice aims to define, apply, and evaluate sustainable practices in its software development processes and in the products delivered to its clients. #GreenSofis incorporates sustainability principles and ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, and Governance) into every phase of the software development lifecycle. 

The practice includes four projects:

1. The #GreenSofis methodology for the software development lifecycle.
2. GreenPath as a practice to incorporate sustainable activities into organizational operations.
3. The Sustainable Transformation Workshops.
4. Innovation for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Some activities carried out within the initiative include:

• Implementation of improvements to optimize resources from Software Engineering.
• Implementation of the Green Big Data approach.
• Creation of the sustainability coding project: GreenCoder. 
• Use of Green Web Design, considering all environmental aspects. 
• Use of Green BPM to analyze business processes from a sustainability perspective.
• Implementation of Green Project Management. 
• Contribution of Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preventing corruption and bribery. 
• Development of Sofis Solutions' Sustainable Digital Transformation Workshops, centered on sustainability and digital transformation of organizations. 
• Application and use of new technology solutions in the Integrated Service Management Platform for Due Diligence and analyses related to anti-corruption and anti-bribery. 

#GreenSofis inspires other organizations to reflect on the application of sustainable practices in their activities to advance towards a prosperous, responsible, and inclusive future. 

DERES sustainability recognitions highlight the leadership of sustainable companies and primarily recognize those that have an impact on society through the execution of good sustainability practices. This year, the event was held under the motto “Where We Connect” and featured the participation of over 200 business leaders and key figures, who shared their experiences and discussed the main challenges facing sustainable development.
