History
Sofis Solutions was born in 2005, in the city of Montevideo - Uruguay.
Since its inception, the main driver was and remains quality. This applies to processes, products, and relationships with the environment.The internationalization of the company It was one of the founding objectives. In the first stage, it expanded from Uruguay, and in the second stage, it opened offices in Latin American countries. Currently, it has offices in Montevideo, Panama, El Salvador and Ecuador.

Digital Certificates of Origin - Aladi

The Digital Certificate of Origin (DCO) within the scope of ALADI consists of a set of specifications, standards, and technical procedures, which form the basis of an IT infrastructure composed of applications and electronic documents, enabling the recognition of DCOs within ALADI.
The Certificate of Origin is a document containing a sworn declaration by the exporter affirming that certain goods are originating for the purposes of a particular trade agreement, by complying with the rules of origin provisions of that agreement.
Recently, a new version of the system was launched, which included the reengineering of the original system and was developed by Sofis Solutions.
The objective of this project was to continue the process started with the development and implementation of a Digital Certificate of Origin System (DCOS) to strengthen, improve, and technologically optimize the system’s functionalities for the digital certificate of origin operations of member countries, providing a service of technical excellence with the required level of quality, security, and availability.
The project scope included the analysis and redesign of the DCOS, preparation of related documentation, user training, technical assistance, and evolutionary maintenance of the system.
