Progress in the State's Single Registry of Trials (RUJE)

Montevideo, November 9, 2018. 

During November, activities began aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the project team and the stakeholders in the agencies participating in the first phase of implementation. 

These activities include:

  • Evaluation of the prototypes developed and verified to date, proposal of improvements, validation of the registered data and procedures. This activity took place at the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC), and was opened by the project sponsor - the Director of the Directorate of Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the MEC -, the project manager for the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Lic. Sergio Novas), the project manager of the MEC - Dr. Silvia Pérez, and the MEC functional stakeholders (Dr. Noelia Techera and Dr. Valeria Martínez).
  • Leadership Workshop. This activity was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and was aimed at those responsible in each Section participating in the first phase of the system’s implementation, with the objective of providing tools to exercise leadership. Among the main topics addressed were the new roles of the leader, types and characteristics of leaders, tools for self-awareness, identifying resistance and forces of change, sources of change in organizations, communication, and training.

In the coming weeks, activities related to training change facilitators, tools for project management, and evaluation of new prototypes will be developed.

The State’s Unified Trial Registry (Registro Único de Juicios del Estado) is a project led by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uruguay, with the goal of maintaining a comprehensive registry that allows systematizing this information, improving forecasts for the national budget, and execution processes. This project is part of the Budget Management Strengthening Program. Sofis Solutions is the company awarded the development contract.
