The project aimed to design, develop, and implement a mobile application with both online and offline functionality for Android and iOS operating systems. The app records, reviews, integrates, and consumes critical information related to primary production processes for livestock chains (including geolocation and geographic coordinates), mainly for the following events related to livestock traceability: registration of livestock operators, request and reading of individual identifiers, notification of births and deaths, management of movement guides, as well as other events identified during the process.
Through the application, users can register livestock operators, send information on livestock identifiers, notify births and deaths, manage movement guides, among other functions.
The project was funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ecuador, with Agrocalidad as the beneficiary — the agency responsible for control and regulation to protect and improve animal health, plant health, and food safety.
