Last Friday, September 27, a workshop titled "Socialization and Empowerment Session on the Salvadoran Educational Management Information System (SIGES)" was held, aiming to strengthen the skills of the Pedagogical Technical Assistants (ATP) in the use of SIGES so they can provide advice and the necessary support to the teaching and administrative staff of educational centers in El Salvador.
This activity is part of the consultancy that Sofis Solutions is carrying out with FOMILENIO II in El Salvador for the design and implementation of an educational management information system for the country, led by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
The workshop was attended by more than 100 Pedagogical Technical Assistants (ATP) from different departmental zones of the country. The session was conducted by MINEDUCYT (National Directorate of Educational Management of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and the Digital Transformation Unit), the Education Quality Management of FOMILENIO II, and Sofis Solutions.
These workshops seek to train users on the functionalities of SIGES for the benefit of educational centers nationwide.
The objective of SIGES is to provide the Ministry of Education of El Salvador with a modern digital platform through software that allows consolidating, categorizing, and monitoring real-time information of the Salvadoran educational system. This software includes modules for managing students, teachers, educational centers, educational statistics, school finances, and a management information system.
