Montevideo, August 31, 2015.
The Integrated System of Ibero-American Data on South-South and Triangular Cooperation allows the registration of cooperation initiatives and the issuance of consolidated reports based on the entered data.
Between August 18 and 20, 2015, a workshop was held for training on this Platform at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The purpose of this workshop was to train Ibero-American cooperation managers in the use of the System. This system allows the registration of different cooperation modalities, export of information, processing, and visualization through various graphical reports.
This system represents a true transformation through digital tools in the process of preparing the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Report, also enabling access to real-time information.
"The Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation originated from a mandate of the Action Program of the XVII Ibero-American Summit in Santiago de Chile in 2007. Its approval took place within the framework of the XVIII Summit in San Salvador, in November 2008. Its implementation began during the first quarter of 2010. The Program counts 20 member countries, and its highest governing body is the Intergovernmental Technical Committee composed of the Heads of Cooperation of these 20 countries.
As a Summit Program, the Ibero-American General Secretariat oversees its proper development and supports its execution."
