The Uruguayan Institute of Technical Standards (UNIT) and Sofis Solutions sign an agreement to work jointly on issues related to Web Accessibility, including research, dissemination, and training.
Web accessibility aims to ensure that websites, web applications, and web portals can be used by the greatest number of people, regardless of their personal knowledge or abilities. The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) has developed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and established them in ISO/IEC 40500:2012.
Sofis Solutions includes in its social responsibility policy a commitment to developing applications and portals (using Java, Genexus, and PHP technologies) following the mentioned WCAG guidelines, with special emphasis on people with visual disabilities. In 2015, Genexus recognized Sofis Solutions "for the early incorporation of responsive web technologies and accessibility in solutions for the Government."
La Fundación Iberoamericana para la Gestión de la Calidad (FUNDIBEQ) anunció a Sofis Solutions como organización galardonada con el Premio Iberoamericano de la Calidad — Galardón Plata 2025, el máximo reconocimiento regional a la excelencia en gestión. Es el segundo gran premio institucional que recibe la empresa en menos de tres años.
