Sofis employees in Uruguay, El Salvador, and Ecuador strengthened their knowledge of sustainability through the Sustainable Digital Transformation Days. These sessions addressed topics related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, focused on software production processes.
On November 23 and 24, Sofis Solutions held the Sustainable Digital Transformation Days, a space where company employees deepened their understanding of the sustainability strategy through the adoption and implementation of IT best practices.
The event began with welcome remarks from Eng. Gustavo Cirigliano, Director of Sofis Solutions, who highlighted the importance of carrying out these sessions among company employees: “… holding these sessions is very important for Sofis. There will be different presentations and action lines to continue advancing our mission of improving people’s quality of life through the digital transformation of organizations and technological inclusion.”
According to the agenda, the first day covered topics such as Green Project Management, Sustainable Software Engineering, and Green IT. On the second day, the topics presented were Green Web Design, Green Big Data, and Green BPM. These presentations were led by Service Coordinators, Developers, the Web Design team, and Sofis’ General Management.
To close the event, Sofis’ General Management presented the Green Sofis project, which aims to incorporate sustainable elements related to environment, social, and governance into software production processes.
According to Eng. Cirigliano, the scope of the Green Sofis project is linked to software development processes—regardless of the technology used—software maintenance processes, and the processes for deployment, administration, and operation of applications.
Sofis Solutions recognizes the fundamental role that Information and Communication Technologies play in accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with Digital Transformation as a pillar that supports this mission. In this regard, the company will continue reinforcing its work methodology so that its clients can move toward sustainable digital transformation.
