SofisID: An Ally in Modernizing Legal Processes in Latin America

With the goal of continuing to drive Sustainable Digital Transformation for organizations in Latin America, Sofis Solutions announces the launch of SofisID, a comprehensive solution that facilitates the adoption of electronic signatures (simple or certified) for any type of organization.

The health crisis caused by COVID-19 accelerated the digital transformation of organizations and government bodies to improve management efficiency. In response, Sofis Solutions integrates a new solution into its extensive portfolio of services: SofisID. This solution facilitates the adoption of simple, certified, or advanced electronic signatures, which can be integrated into existing organizational systems according to the regulatory framework of each country.

SofisID provides a digital agility experience to users, allowing them to: create or upload documents in a custom format or predefined templates; sign documents from anywhere through the platform, mobile application, or email; define approval and validation workflows; assign single or multiple signatories; select the graphical representation of the signature (drawing, text, or image); and maintain document traceability control.

The solution is integrated with the main Certification Authorities (CAs) in Latin America that issue and manage advanced digital certificates, simplifying integration between organizational processes and certificate service providers without requiring documents to be uploaded to the provider’s cloud. Additionally, it can integrate with digital identity authentication systems (national or internal), in accordance with the organization’s security policies and requirements.

SofisID adds value to organizational operations by shortening process execution times, optimizing operational costs and resources, increasing productivity and competitiveness, reducing paper consumption, enabling decentralization, and ensuring information protection and data privacy.

Sofis Solutions has over 15 years of experience in digitalization and automation solutions that improve process workflows, including the incorporation of electronic signature components (simple and advanced) in multiple projects. Examples include: the Budget Assignment Modification Management System (GEMAP), which manages all budget modification requests submitted by various agencies of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uruguay (MEF), and the Salvadoran Educational Management Information System (SIGES), where simple electronic signatures were integrated to sign internal documents managed by educational centers, departmental offices, and the central office of the Ministry of Education of El Salvador (MINED).
