The Montevideo City Hall has published a project viewer for initiatives taking place in the city. It is an interactive tool where citizens can obtain information about each project and interact on social media or directly with the organization regarding it.
This solution is based on the Siges tool. Siges is a publicly accessible tool, provided by Agesic and developed by Sofis Solutions (SP 15/2013), which allows monitoring and control of an organization's programs and projects.
With this application, any citizen can use the system to manage their project, overseeing key knowledge areas such as schedule, scope, procurement, risks, stakeholders, collaborators, quality, among others.
According to this organization, "this progress was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the institutions that collaboratively publish the progress of their projects, their planning, and the level of compliance with what was planned. This tool is designed so that all citizens can easily stay informed about how taxes are used and have the opportunity to critically assess the development of projects carried out in the country."
