The Online Procedures initiative is a project promoted by the Presidency of the Republic and implemented by Agesic, aiming to ensure that by the end of 2020, 100% of Central Administration procedures can be carried out digitally.
For 2016, the goal was set that 100% of procedure initiations could be done online. Recently, Agesic announced the achievement of this goal.
For the implementation of these procedures, various tools were used, many of which are available as public software. Among these, two stand out that Sofis Solutions has been working on and evolving to meet the requirements of Uruguayan regulations:
- Electronic Agenda System: Its main functionalities include configuring resources (public service locations and a group of lawyers), the entry of reservation information by citizens, and validation by the Agency.
- Simple: This system allows the implementation of electronic processes aimed at making public procedures available on the Internet for citizens. The software was developed by the Chilean government and is currently used by many public agencies in that country.
Additionally, Sofis Solutions has used these tools to implement procedures in various agencies, such as those at the National Environment Directorate (DINAMA).
